| 中文描述 | 肥大性骨營養不良症一般發生生在未發育完全的大型犬和體型巨大的狗，但也有報告指出發生在較小型的品種。典型的發作年齡是在2~7月齡時，通常發生在雄性。橈骨、尺骨和脛骨末端骨骨后處有膨大的發生，伴隨者的有發燒和跛足，通常是兩邊對稱的。肋骨、下顎骨、肩頰骨和掌骨則較少發生。通常伴隨輕微的全身性症狀，但有時可能嚴重。造成的原因不明，可自行恢復，也可能擴散到全身的長骨骨骨后處，而導致四肢的畸形。 |

| 英文描述 | Hypertrophic osteodystrophy is generally a disease of immature dogs of large or giant breeds but there are reports of this condition in smaller breeds. Typical age of onset is 2-7 months; more common in males. There is swelling of the distal metaphysis of the radius, ulna, or tibia, accompanied by fever and lameness; usually bilateral and symmetric. The ribs, mandible, scapula, and metacarpals are less commonly affected. Associated systemic signs are usually mild but are occasionally severe. Cause is unknown. Can regress spontaneously or progress to involve metaphyses of all long bones and result in limb deformity. |
